October The Bride Box Unboxing and Review!

October The Bride Box Unboxing and Review!

***Don't forget to watch and LIKE the video above***

This is the October 2014 The Bride Box. It is a monthly subscription service for brides and is $35 a month. Like I mentioned in the video you can fill out a profile to get personalized boxes or get a surprise one.

This is the Honeymoon Edition and features 4 items.

The first is from Elizabeth Mott and it is a Deluxe sized sample of the It's So Big Mascara. I have gotten this from Ipsy in the past and am not a big fan of it. It is pretty good with length but I need volume and this doesn't really give any,

Next from Elizabeth Mott is a full sized pack of Lash Cards. Again I have tried these through Ipsy and I enjoy them. They are shields that you can put on your lowerlashes to catch eyeshadow fall out or behind your upper lasehes so you don't get mascara on your eyelids. I think these are perfect for the Bride who is doing her own makeup and doesn't want to mess anything up in the process.

The next item is a large Tote bag that Says Bride. Inside is also a matching travelsized bag. I think this is super cute and will definitely be taking it on my Honeymoon as my pool bag!

The final item is a a $50 off $175 giftcode from Sonar Travel. They are basically a website that will plan your Honeymoon for you. I will look into this but probably won't be using this. I like this idea but I don't think this should have counted as a full sized product.

Overall I was a bit disappointed in my first box. I think 4 items for $35 is a really bad deal. I think it could have had a few more products. I have seen other unboxings of past boxes and usually they are full of cute things so I am not sure what happened this month.

I do have a 6 month subscription so hopefully they get better.

Review of Walmart Wedding Planner for $20!

Review of Walmart Wedding Planner for $20!

Make sure you watch the above video for a more in depth review.

I got this at Walmart for no more then $20! It is found in the wedding isle and can only be bought in stores.

Like I mention in the video I was originally going to make my own to save money but this one is a great deal and has everything that a Bride would need!

I think it is important to stay organized to help ease stress, and make the wedding process smoother.

Pros:

It is organized very well. It has tons of tabs with labels to help you easily find what you are looking for.
The pages are set up in easy to read format and if it refers to another page it gives you the page number.
It has folder pockets in each section to help further organization.
It has sections for questions you should ask people such as your DJ and photographer which I have personally found very helpful.
It lets you compare different sites and reception halls all on one sheet to help your decision making.

Cons:
The only one that I can think of is I wish the cover was prettier.

I added my own pencil pouch at the front with some colored pens and stickers to help further my organization.

Overall this is a GREAT BUY and I HIGHLY recommend it to any bride no matter what her budget.

Easy DIY Bridesmaids Boxes

 Easy DIY Bridesmaids Boxes

**Like and Subscribe to the video above**

The first Box I showed is the one I maid for my Maid of Honor AKA my sister. It was very simple and easy to do and all the things are easy to find. You can find these boxes at Pat Catans or Michaels as well as paint and glitter and glue and fill them with whatever you want. They took only a couple hours to dry and can be reused as jewelry boxes or just as great keepsakes.

Below is a picture of my boxes I made for all of my other Bridesmaids. They included cards, a pin, chocolate, a eyeshadow quad and a cute bow wine stopper. I put eat girls initial on top in glitter.

The next bag is from my friend who asked me to be her brides maid. She did so many DIY things that I just had to share.

The first was a body scrub that smells delicious and works great!

All you need is Dawn with Olay Dish soap, Sugar, and a pretty jar!
Fill the container with 3/4 sugar and then add the soap until you hit the rim.
Stir it up and its a great sugar scrub! This would be great as a shower gift as well.

The other thing she made was a cup. All you need for this is a cup or mug, a sharpie and an oven.
Create your design on the cup and then bake for 350 degrees for 20 minutes and the sharpie is permanently on there. Make sure to hand wash.

The final DIY she did was get plain t shirts. You can get these anywhere and iron on letters from a craft store. Hers said Bridesmaid and you can also add the wedding date or even the girls name on the back!!

These are just fun ideas!! Let me know any of your ideas or if you will be using any of these in the future :)

Review of Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation and Concealer

Review of Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation and Concealer

Check out my video above of a more in depth review.

Below is a picture I took with flash before any of my makeup was on. You can see on my forehead a few pimples and the fuzz on my cheeks.

The next picture is right after I applied 2 thin layers of the foundation with a flat top angled Kabuki brush. You don't want to layer it too thick as this foundation can get cakey if not careful. You can still see some redness from my forehead pimples seeping through but my cheek fuzz is gone. It also has a bit of a white cast when you use a flash.

The next image is after applying the Kat Von D Concealer onto my forehead and chin areas. I also highlighted under my eyes with a different concealer. You can still slightly see some pimples on my forehead but nothing major. The white cast is also still there.

The final photo is after I have applied my bronzer, powder and eyemakeup. Adding the bronzer and powder really allowed my face to match my neck. Also in the flash back test there was still quite a bit of white cast. This looked great in person and didn't give off any whiteness but if you are going to be photographed on your day with a flash up close this would not be the correct thing to wear.

Now with all that being said for a $50 foundation I don't think this would be right for your wedding day mostly becase of the white cast issue. It does cover moderatly and is easily buildable. It stay put throughout the day with minimal blotting needed unless it is super hot and you have super oily skin. If you have the money this would be a great everyday foundation or even one to wear during your engagment shoot outdoors where a flash isn't needed.

How to Earn Extra Money Towards Your Wedding!

How to Earn Extra Money Towards Your Wedding!

Check out my video above of how to earn extra money towards your wedding or just towards life in general.

I have made over $100 in just a few months! I just recently bought a bed frame and other new goodies for my new home with my fiance that was over $90 and paid for through survey money.

I forgot to mention EBATES in my video. When you sign up you get a free $10 giftcard, I chose Target, and you just shop your favorite websites through links and get a certain percentage back. You cash out at $50 which should add up quickly if you do alot of online shopping. I shop Amazon through it with my credits from other surveys and get even more money.
