Review of Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation and Concealer

Review of Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation and Concealer

Check out my video above of a more in depth review.

Below is a picture I took with flash before any of my makeup was on. You can see on my forehead a few pimples and the fuzz on my cheeks.

The next picture is right after I applied 2 thin layers of the foundation with a flat top angled Kabuki brush. You don't want to layer it too thick as this foundation can get cakey if not careful. You can still see some redness from my forehead pimples seeping through but my cheek fuzz is gone. It also has a bit of a white cast when you use a flash.

The next image is after applying the Kat Von D Concealer onto my forehead and chin areas. I also highlighted under my eyes with a different concealer. You can still slightly see some pimples on my forehead but nothing major. The white cast is also still there.

The final photo is after I have applied my bronzer, powder and eyemakeup. Adding the bronzer and powder really allowed my face to match my neck. Also in the flash back test there was still quite a bit of white cast. This looked great in person and didn't give off any whiteness but if you are going to be photographed on your day with a flash up close this would not be the correct thing to wear.

Now with all that being said for a $50 foundation I don't think this would be right for your wedding day mostly becase of the white cast issue. It does cover moderatly and is easily buildable. It stay put throughout the day with minimal blotting needed unless it is super hot and you have super oily skin. If you have the money this would be a great everyday foundation or even one to wear during your engagment shoot outdoors where a flash isn't needed.
